Patrick Gudauskas, a friend of the BNQT posse, just made a lil bit of history at the Sri Lankan Airlines Pro (say what?!). During the 6-star 'QS event in the round of 24, Pat was facing elimination as he sat in third position. When a nice ola swept his way, he grabbed it, pumped down the line and took to the air as he completed the first ever rodeo clown in competition. For those unaware, a rodeo clown consists of a 360-degree inverted flip. Basically, a RC = a filthy automatic 10 point ride (see video below).
After the heat, Pat said:
I knew I needed a very solid score on that wave...and as that final section approached I could see it lining up ideally so I focused on going for the rodeo. It was there to be done and I had to do it
said Gudauskas.
So Patty G nabbed his 10 and advanced to the round of 16, where he will face off against former-CT shredster Cory Lopez. Wanna learn more about Pat? Hopefully you'll be seeing him on the 'CT next year, but for now check out the BNQT interview with him below...
