A few facts people: Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer after lung cancer (10.4% of all cancer incidence, both sexes counted) and the fifth most common cause of cancer death. October is internationally recognized as the official month for Breast Cancer Awareness. Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a rad, non-profit foundation whose mission is to increase awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early detection and the value of an active lifestyle. This Saturday, October 20th, B4BC is hosting its 3rd annual "Skate the Coast" event in Santa Monica. Read below and GET INVOLVED for this awesome cause!!

3rd Annual Skate the Coast - Santa Monica, CA

You're invited to join us for a push to remember as we skate 19-miles from the Santa Monica Pier to Redondo Beach Pier on October 24, 2009 all in the name of breast cancer education and awareness! The skate begins at 9:00am and transportation back from Redondo will be provided by the Red Bull bus!

Skate the Coast is not a race; rather it's a collective of passionate people pushing together to raise awareness and we welcome people of both genders, any age, advanced or intermediate to join us.

The event cost is a $25 registration fee and thanks to our awesome sponsors 100% of your fee will be donated to B4BC. Go here to register online.

We're also hosting a pre-event party at Arbor on October 23rd from 6:30pm to 10:30pm for any last minute kids...you know who you are and you're welcome to sign up on that night!

Arbor is located at...
102 Washington Blvd.
Venice, CA 90292

If you can't attend but would like to make a donation or become a fundraiser for the event, we have a fundraising page HERE. The top (3) fundraisers for the event will win some sick prizes too!

We hope to see you there!
